Research and innovation

Continuous improvement of the effectiveness of the educational process requires the development of training courses, creation and implementation of computer workshops, which are impossible without the active participation of teachers of faculty in research. In order to enhance scientific activities teachers participate in scientific competitions, grants, conferences at various levels; established partnerships with foreign and Russian universities and foreign counterparts. Activities of the Department are aimed at strengthening inter-institutional relations, relations with employers and alumni, interfaculty relations in the framework of activities of the university, relations with the departments of the university under the direction of «Applied Informatics» and develop areas of cooperation through the conclusion of treaties and agreements.

Teachers of the department annually raise their qualification.

Master classes and workshops, inviting employers and graduates of the Faculty, scientific work take part in competitions, grants and parades. Students regularly take part in competitions, festivals and business workshops as scientific activity competently integrates with training within the department of teaching disciplines.

Work with students

For the research work are actively involved students, graduate students and young scientists.

The department organized and held traditional competitions, Olympiads and scientific activities for students:

section «Information Systems» at the regional scientific-practical student conference «Student and Science»;
Student Conference «Management of information infrastructure of the enterprise»;
student circle in «Applied Computer Science». Within the circle of the faculty team participates each year in the regional (Novosibirsk, Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management — «Ninja») and the Russian (Moscow, MESI) rounds of the All-Russian Olympiad students in the direction of VPO «Applied Informatics». Results: 2008 — II place among 8 teams (regional round); 2009 — II place among 13 teams (all-Russian tour); 2010 — II place among 8 teams (regional round) and a victory in the nomination «Best Presentation» (All-Russian tour); 2014 — II and III place among 20 teams (all-Russian tour);
